Paulina Purnama, PA-C has been working alongside Dr. Bantoo Sehgal for the last 7 years. She received her physician assistant degree from St. John's University in New York. Early in her career she worked at New York's Bellevue Hospital Center and worked closely with nationally renowned orthopedic specialist from NYU School of Medicine.
She has over 12 years of orthopedic experience in sports medicine, trauma, and osteoarthritis, with a focus in conditions of the hips, knees, and shoulders. She is passionate about orthopedics and loves the challenge of customizing treatment plans specific for each patient. As a team, Paulina and Dr. Sehgal work seamlessly to provide the best care for their patients. Her surgical skills and clinical experience is highly valued to the practice. She is devoted to keeping up with advancements in orthopedics by participating over 50 hours of hands on training and continuing medical education annually to better serve her patients.
In addition to caring for Dr. Sehgal's patients, Paulina is a fierce advocate for health literacy, providing education through talks and online blogging on topics of health, wellness, injury prevention and a spectrum of orthopedic conditions in which she has tremendous experience in.
Paulina is the founder, a unique approach to medicine that focuses on quality rather than volume. She is an idealist who sees her practice as an opportunity to practice medicine the way it should be rather than what it is today, always keeping the patients best interest as her number one priority.
Paulina is also heavily involved in the community through volunteering and charitable donations to local children's foundations.
